In 2021, Healthcare 21 pledge to reduce the Group’s direct and indirect environmental impact. Transportation accounts for around 12% of global CO2 emissions.
The global market share of electrified vehicles grew from 8% in 2019 to 12% in 2020, and has shown continued growth in 2021.
The growth of electric vehicles signifies such a positive move for the health of our planet and I am delighted to announce that we have updated our UK car policy and pledge that by 2024, we commit to an electric vehicle fleet.
In time, as the necessary infrastructures improve across Ireland, we will endeavour, where possible, to replicate this across the Irish market.
This is a really exciting move in reducing our carbon footprint.
