Healthcare21/Aquilant are delighted to introduce PuraBond; a ready-to-use, efficient haemostat for a wide variety of surgical indications. Purabond is a slightly viscous solution of synthetic peptides. Contact between Purabond and positive ions at the bleeding site causes the peptides to form β-sheets, that subsequently form a 3-dimensional scaffold structure(1). Purabond provides a physical barrier to facilitate haemostasis across multiple therapy areas including Cardiac, Surgery, Vascular, ENT & Gynacology. Purabond has also shown to be effective in achieving haemostasis in heparinised patients(2).
