Tara Kearney

Experienced Managing Director with over 22 years’ experience of working in the hospital & healthcare industry.

As one of the founding team members of Healthcare 21 in 2003, Tara successfully drove the Commercial function of the business, progressing to the Commercial director in 2007, while completing a master’s in business management. Healthcare 21’s Group branding and marketing development over the years has been directed by Tara’s distinct vision for the brand.

Tara’s understanding and deep knowledge of the complex nature of services required for clients coupled with her entrepreneurial and strategic prowess has helped drive significant growth both organically and through acquisition.

In 2010, Tara was appointed as Managing Director. Despite managing a huge, expanding team, Tara maintains an open-door policy and has conserved a family feel to the business. Her passion and drive to provide the best possible solutions and ultimately long-term outcomes for Healthcare 21 customers is mirrored by her team.

The company has experienced exponential growth in the past 10 years under Tara’s leadership, in the past three years alone, the company has tripled in size.

David Frederick

As one of the founding shareholders of Healthcare 21 UK, David has over 20 years of medical device sales, marketing, business development and management experience. Prior to starting Healthcare 21 UK, David’s position as Vice President of Sales at Covidien (Medtronic), included accountability for $1bn sales and a headcount of over 700 people.

David’s know-how in complex re-structuring, acquisitions and integration coupled with an ambitious strategic outlook has been fundamental to the Healthcare 21 Group’s success. In addition to his role at Healthcare 21, David holds a Non-Executive Chairman role at Alesi Surgical Ltd., a medical device developer and manufacturer.

With David’s strategic input and know-how, Healthcare 21 UK has seen significant growth over the past number of years, in particular through acquisitions.

Trevor Rodgers

Chief Financial Officer of the Healthcare 21 Group with over 16 years’ experience of managing finance and operations in the healthcare industry.

Since joining Healthcare 21 in 2005 as Senior Management Accountant, Trevor quickly progressed to Group Financial Controller in 2010. The role included responsibility for Budgets, Cashflow, Expenditure Control, Financial Reporting and overseeing the day to day running of the finance function.

In 2016, Trevor was appointed Finance Director with overall responsibility for implementing the financial and operational strategies of the business including IT. Driving operational efficiencies through the use of technology assisted solutions has been a key area of focus for Trevor in recent years.

Trevor has played an integral part in the growth of the company both organically and through major acquisitions, including the setting up of new business operations in Germany and Austria in 2016. IT integration has been a key element of the successful integration of newly acquired businesses into the Healthcare 21 Group. Trevor was responsible for a number of seamless SAP integrations across the Group, most notably in 2019 following the acquisition of the Aquilant Group.

In 2020, Trevor was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Healthcare 21 Group and maintains a key strategic role in driving the future growth of the business.
