GORE® TAG® Thoracic Branch Endoprosthesis
The GORE TAG Thoracic Branch Endoprosthesis (TBE) is an off-the-shelf branched thoracic stent graft system designed for the minimally invasive treatment of aortic arch and descending thoracic aortic lesions while preserving blood flow to critical branch vessels such as the left subclavian artery. It is used in thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) procedures for aneurysms, dissections, and traumatic transections involving the aortic arch.
Description
Features
- Off-the-shelf single-branch thoracic endoprosthesis for TEVAR procedures
- Approved for aortic arch Zones 0, 1, and 2 repair
- Designed to preserve blood flow to the left subclavian artery during repair
- Purpose-built branched architecture for complex aortic arch anatomy
- Minimally invasive endovascular alternative to open surgical arch repair
- Compatible staged deployment system for procedural control and accuracy
- ePTFE graft material with nitinol support structure for flexibility and durability
- Purpose-built bridging stent for branch vessel perfusion
- Built on the proven conformability and durability of the GORE TAG platform
Benefits
- Enables minimally invasive treatment of complex thoracic aortic disease
- Helps maintain perfusion to vital branch vessels while excluding diseased aortic segments
- Reduces the need for more invasive procedures such as sternotomy and cardiopulmonary bypass
- Simplifies Zone 2 TEVAR by avoiding surgical revascularization in many cases
- Demonstrated low rates of device migration, wire fracture, and endoleaks in clinical studies
- Supports reduced hospital stay and potential operating room time savings
- Backed by extensive clinical experience and long-term thoracic aortic innovation from Gore
