R82 – Caribou

The R82 Caribou by Etac is a versatile paediatric standing frame designed to support children in prone, upright or supine standing positions. It is particularly suitable for children with limited head and trunk control or restricted range of motion who require additional postural support. Its adjustable tilt function allows carers to position the child gradually between horizontal and upright, supporting transfers and personalised positioning. Anatomically shaped, soft polyurethane padding provides comfort and can be moulded using optional wedges to accommodate individual body contours. A wide range of interchangeable accessories, including chest supports, lateral supports, straps, head supports and footplates, allows the frame to be configured to the child’s needs. Available in manual and powered versions and four sizes, the Caribou can accommodate growth and changing support requirements. Its raised frame facilitates access for a floor hoist, making it suitable for use in therapy, educational, residential and home environments.
