Advancing Biliary Care at the First UK Biliary Intervention Study Day

Aquilant, part of Healthcare 21 UK, recently hosted the first UK Biliary Intervention Study Day at the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham.

Held in collaboration with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, the event welcomed delegates from across the UK, representing interventional radiology, endoscopy, hepatology, surgery, and allied specialties. This mix of disciplines created a relaxed, collaborative atmosphere, with engaging discussion and case-based learning throughout.

The agenda covered the full spectrum of biliary intervention, including stenting in malignant disease, new techniques in benign biliary disease, cholangioscopy, complex biliary reconstruction and the management of post-operative complications. It also featured local data from the Nottingham biliary tissue sampling audit and a review of biliary complications and mortality, giving delegates practical insights to take back to clinical practice.
