Acquired by the HC21 Group in 2018, Aquilant has enjoyed a successful relationship with Fujifilm for over twenty years, supplying the NHS and private healthcare providers with cutting edge endoscopic solutions. The new distribution arrangement, effective from 1 August 2021, will see the company distribute the full range of Fujifilm Medwork endoscopic accessories. Medwork has been designing and manufacturing high quality instrumentation for therapeutic endoscopy since 1988 from its manufacturing site in Germany and is recognised as a leader in its field.

Matthew Aronow, HC21 UK marketing manager, commented: “It is a great achievement for HC21 Aquilant to be awarded this contract and a true testament to our strong relationship with Fujifilm. The Medwork instrumentation perfectly complements Fujifilm’s existing flexible endoscopy imaging portfolio, allowing us to provide our customers with class leading diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities. Supply of these essential devices has never been more important and with our vast network of facilities, HC21 will be at the forefront of ensuring hospitals have all the equipment needed to deliver the best patient care possible.”

Mat Tallis European Business Manager at Fujifilm commented “Following our acquisition of Medwork in 2019 it made sense to rationalise the supply and customer support of our endoscopy solutions through a single provider, building on the existing partnership we have made Aquilant the obvious choice. As healthcare becomes core to our global business in terms of growth and scale, Aquilant has an important strategic role to play.”
