Healthcare 21 today announced that Tara Kearney has decided to step down as Chief Executive Officer of the Healthcare 21 Group to focus on her family. Under Tara’s leadership, Healthcare 21 has enjoyed a fantastic growth journey both organically and through successful acquisitions. Tara has been a central figure in the business since the Company was founded in 2003. As CEO, Tara has nurtured a strong successful company culture and the business is now well positioned for continued growth. Tara will remain with the business as a member of the Healthcare 21 Board. 

The board and Tara are delighted to announce that her successor will be Nathan Pettitt, our current Group General Manager. Nathan has more than 25 years’ experience of working in the healthcare industry and was one of the founding team members of the Healthcare 21 UK business in 2012, he successfully led the sales and marketing of the business. In 2021, Nathan was appointed General Manager of the Healthcare 21 Group. In recent years, Healthcare 21 has experienced remarkable growth through acquisition. Nathan has been instrumental to the seamless integration of Aquilant, Xograph and Cardio Solutions into the Healthcare 21 Group. 

Nathan will assume the role of Chief Executive on 1st October and Tara will fully support him to the end of the year to ensure a seamless transition. This change in management will not have any impact on day-to-day business operations at the Healthcare 21 Group.

Tara said: “Healthcare 21 has been such an important part of my life for the past 19 years and this has been a difficult decision for me to make. It has been a true privilege to lead a team so passionate and dedicated to delivering on their promises to our customers and suppliers with such integrity, professionalism, and a positive can-do attitude. I have such enormous pride in what we have built together. My decision to step down as CEO is a difficult one, but it allows me time to focus on my young family, who need my support the most right now. I am confident that Nathan and all our teams will continue to be successful, grow the business and be the best that they can be. I am delighted to continue to support the business as a member of the Healthcare 21 Board into the future’
