The Aquilant team are looking forward to networking with you at this week’s London Live HPB Masterclass.

Together with our partner brands Fujifilm, Taewoong Medical, and 3DMatrix, we will also be unveiling the UK’s latest video cholangioscopy system from Leinzett.

This state-of-the-art system introduces groundbreaking opportunities and innovations to the HPB community, featuring:

  • A 2mm working channel, expanding the range of compatible therapeutic consumables.
  • A superior-quality, LED image source for enhanced clarity.
  • A sleek, compact processor that not only eliminates the need for significant capital expenditure but also enhances the system’s portability.
  • Advanced partner consumables, including a faster, more powerful EHL that revolutionises lithotripsy.

Additionally, we will host hands-on sessions with the EUS RFA device, EUSRA, from Taewoong Medical, along with live demonstrations of our Fujifilm access and stone management portfolio and PuraStat, the innovative peptide-based haemostat from 3DMatrix.

Fujifilm launches premium EUS system to enhance endoscopic ultrasound.
Following their acquisition of Hitachi Diagnostic Imaging back in 2021, Fujifilm is delighted to announce the commercial launch of its premium EUS system after compatibility between the Arietta 850 FF ENDO and EG-740UT was achieved last year.

The combination of the EG-740UT with the ARIETTA 850 allows an all-round solution for endoscopic ultrasound for both diagnostics and interventional therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound. By launching this premium end EUS system, Fujifilm intends to provide outstanding ultrasound image quality with advanced therapeutic capability.

Arietta 850 FF ENDO
The ARIETTA 850 is equipped with Fujifilm Healthcare’s ultrasonic transmission and reception technology “eFocusing” and image processing technology “Carving Imaging,” making it possible to render clear ultrasound images, from superficial to the very deepest areas of the abdomen. Fujifilm’s ultrasound endoscope EG-740UT has improved ultrasound transmission and reception sensitivity by adopting a newly developed high-performance transducer. The quality of Fujifilm’s ultrasound image quality is therefore greatly improved.

Cost-effective ERCP access solution, maintaining high-quality clinical outcomes

Recognised globally as a leader in medical imaging innovation, the acquisition of Medwork in 2019 allowed Fujifilm to become a complete endoscopy solutions provider, and apply their knowledge to HPB examinations.

Hepatobiliary (HPB) devices can be categorised into three main categories: Access, Stone Management, and Drainage; Fujifilm Medwork has a complementary range to accommodate a variety of therapeutic procedures.

The most important device in any Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is a sphincterotome, used to cannulate the ampulla and gain access to the HPB system. The AXS_tome+ with its improved MicroTip+ design and reliable 11 O’clock orientation provides a smooth cannulation performance to ensure ultimate efficiency. Coupled with the GPS short wire with a sturdy sheath and hydrophilic tip, it ensures minimised complications.

The AXS_tome+ includes a user-friendly short wire port to ensure seamless exchange of devices while maintaining accurate positioning within the duct by using the Easy Guide wire fixation device.
